Thomas Crane was an American scholar and writer, mostly known as a collector and publisher of folk-tales and legends. A master of many languages, Crane translated French, Italian and Spanish works, having become one of the most popular adapters of children’s fairy tales. «Water and Salt» is an Italian fairy tale, collected by Thomas Crane that follows a king with three beatiful daughters. One day a king asks them how much they love their father. Probably on the first look it sounds not so extraordinarely but the result of such a taks would be very amazing.
