Flora Annie Steel (1847 – 1929) was an English writer who was noted for writing books set in British India relating all features of Indian society. “The Well of the World's End” is a kind short story by Flora Annie Steel about a young girl who was always abused by her stepmother. In order to be rid of her stepmother gave her a sieve and ordered her not to come back without filling it at the Well of the World's End.
