Thomas Keightley (1789–1872) was an Irish writer best known for his works on mythology and folklore. The story “The Leprechaun in the Garden” will make the reader understand that fairytales may be something more than fantastic fiction. The plot of the story tells about sudden meetings with a Leprechaun creature that seemed very cute at first. Everyone wanted to capture him but that was only the illusion.
