Catherine "Katie" Langloh Parker (1856 – 1940) was born at Australia and lived in New South Wales. She is well-known for her recording the folk stories of the Aboriginal people. Her collection was one of the first attempts of researching Aboriginal people's folk, beliefs and short stories of north-west New South Wales. She is best known by her books such as “Australian Legendary Tales”, “Tales of the Dreamtime”, “Wise Women of the Dreamtime” and other. “The Gwineeboos the Redbreasts” is an Australian legendary tale that narrates of kangoroo that became the stumbling block between woman named Gwineeboo and two hunters Quarrian and Gidgereegah. All of them wanted to make a delicious meal of killed kangaroo but who made the best effort you will find out at the end of the story.
