Catherine "Katie" Langloh Parker (1 May 1856 – 27 March 1940) was born at Australia and lived in New South Wales. She is well-known for recording the folk stories of the Aboriginal people. Her collection was one of the first attempts of researching Aboriginal people's folk, beliefs and short stories of north-west New South Wales. She is best known by her books such an “Australian Legendary Tales”, “Tales of the Dreamtime”, “Wise Women of the Dreamtime” and other. “The Bunbundoolooeys” is one of numerous Australian legends collected by Catherine Parker narrating about firstly small and fine Birrable who was forgotten by by his mother Bunbundoolooey in a sort of small netted hammock. Mother had a great desire to find her own son and she did her best but no one could predict that met his mother he would pick a big stone.
