William Wordsworth (1770 – 1850) was an English Romantic poet. William Wordsworth found a new form of romantic trend in Great Britain. He imagined the condition of soul through the nature. Contemporaries of William Wordsworth told that his soul turned from the outside world and focused on own internal life. He learned the value of thoughts and feelings appeared by very minor events of his life. Alfred Tennyson (1809 – 1892) was an English Romantic poet. Up to day he remains one of the most influential British poets. He is mostly known for his short verses like Break, Break, Break; Tears, Idle Tears and Crossing the Bar. Lots of Tennyson’s poetry is based Greek mythological themes and stories. Selections from Wordsworth and Tennyson is a collection of writings of these two pillars of British poetry that have altered the face of English romantism.
