Margaret Sidney (1844 – 1924) was penname of American popular author of children’s fiction, Harriett Mulford Stone Lothrop. She is mostly known for her Five Little Peppers, s series of short stories for kids. Also she was involved in activities of Daughters of the American Revolution, and association of women descended from participants of United States' independence war. Stone had a deep interest in historical homes and buildings and worked hard to preserve them as well as in her own career.
